The Oprzedek Family

Mark & Laura with Chelsea, Chloe, Kim & Brooke

Short introduction...

Hello there, I'm Mark Oprzedek (a.k.a. Bro. O.). I have been serving as Youth Pastor at Trinity since 2010 and loving every minute!

For the people who like to read...

Wojtek Oprzedek, a Polish immigrant in his 20s, spoke with a heavy accent has he stated his vows to Mary Jo Troaster at the altar of a white veneer chapel that sat quaintly in the shadows of Chicago, Illinois. This union not only marked the beginning of a new life for a young couple but also was the genesis of a new legacy for the Oprzedek family. ďGod had brought me to America so that I could know JesusĒ was the testimony stated years later by Wojtek (Al). His career was in construction, but his passion was that Jesus would now be the center of the Oprzedek family.

In 1987 Al and Mary Jo gave birth to their second born son, Mark Henry. Godís blessings were abundant in this young manís life as he was raised in a Christ-centered home, discipled under Pastor Kieth Gomez of Northwest Bible Baptist Church, received a 12-year Christian education from Northwest Baptist Academy and graduated valedictorian of Providence Baptist College. Mark would chronicle Godís greatest gifts in his life as being his salvation, his call to ministry, his marriage to Laura and the birth of their four daughters.

Mark Oprzedek now serves as the Youth Pastor under Dr. Todd Lasseter at Trinity Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas. He and Laura seek to grow the seed of Christianity that took root in his fatherís heart nearly four decades ago; with a vigilant compassion to keep Christ as the center of their family and a burden to see Christ-likeness be the benchmark of every family to whom God has given them the privilege of ministering. Ephesians 3:19 has been the compass by which Mark Oprzedek has set the direction of both his private and public ministry; ďAnd to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.Ē
